Why would I want to take part in a clinical trial?

Thousands of people in Australia each year choose to take part in clinical trials. The reasons vary. Some people wish to make a contribution towards helping others in the future, to help with the development of new and cutting edge medical treatments and to assist in gaining medical knowledge. Some people are able to gain access to promising new drugs long before they become generally available. Others have an interest in a particular area and gain satisfaction having contributed to a scientific investigation.

Study participants receive close and comprehensive medical attention from highly skilled professionals who are readily available to answer any questions.
