Facilities

The facilities and equipment at Emeritus Research include computers for eCRF,  a dedicated analogue line for transmission of study data, resuscitation, venepuncture, centrifuge, ECG, vaccine refrigerators dedicated to storing study medication, a minus 20 Celsius freezer, a minus 70 Celsius freezer (Malvern) & double locked study medication storage - all temperature monitored daily.

In addition, Emeritus Research has access to a wide range of services including medical imaging such as MRI, X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT Scan, Nuclear Medicine and Bone Densitometry (lunar), Pathology, Day Procedure Unit, Pharmacy, Sleep centre.

Emeritus Research utilizes the services of an Independent Human Research Ethics Committee.

The Cabrini Human Research Ethics Committee based at Cabrini Health is constituted and operates according to the NHMRC guidelines.

In the event of multi-centre studies - Emeritus Research also utilizes the services of a Central Human Research Ethics Committee based in Adelaide – Bellberry HREC.

Emeritus Research, via its associated clinical research investigators has access to diagnostic databases in excess of 300,000 patients and maintains an up to date database of potential study subjects who have agreed to be contacted should an appropriate study arise.

Standard Operating Procedures have been implemented to ensure maximum recruitment in the shortest possible time frame.

The structure of Emeritus Research enhances the ability of the company to recruit study subjects into clinical trials i.e. satellite sites, dedicated investigator days and team work in assigning two or more study nurses to a specific project.
